College Football Odds Texas Tech vs Baylor

The fifth ranked Baylor Bears will look for their ninth win of the season on Saturday when they battle in-state and conference rival Texas Tech at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This weekend's meeting between the Bears and Red Raiders is scheduled to kickoff at 7:00pm ET on FOX. College Football Odds from Sportsbook.ag are favoring the undefeated Bears at -27.5 against the spread; the Over/Under is set at a whopping 85 points.

Texas Tech got off to a surprising 7-0 start, but the wheel have come off the Red Raiders wagon the last three weeks. Kliff Kingsbury's troops have dropped three straight games, all against conference opposition and they have done so by an average of 16.3 points per game.

Even worse, the Red Raiders last two setbacks came within the confines of their own stadium as Oklahoma State and Kansas State stomped them 52-34 and 49-26, respectively.

Texas Tech had no trouble moving the ball in either contest, in fact, it out-gained both the Cowboys and Wildcats; however, its defense got rolled in the trenches. Oklahoma State rushed for 281 yards at 5.5 yards per carry while K-State racked up 291 on the ground at 6.5 yards per carry.

Given those numbers, the thought of facing Baylor's offense must be a scary one indeed for Kingsbury. Baylor, which improved to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in Big 12 action with last Thursday's 41-12 win over Oklahoma, ranks first in total offense (685 yards per game) and scoring offense (61 points per game), but it is a better rushing team than some may know.

The Bears are averaging 294.4 yards per game on the ground, a number which ranks ninth in the FBS, and its feature back, Lache Seastrunk, ranks sixth and 18th nationally in yards per carry (8.7) and rush yards per game (111), respectively.

Certainly the spread here is a large one, but consider the Bears have won every games with the exception of their 10 point victory at Kansas State by 29 or more points.

Notable Trends: Baylor is 9-0 straight up and 8-1 against the spread in their last nine games as a favorite with a total of 54.5 or more points.

College Football Odds Texas Tech vs Baylor:

Texas Tech Red Raiders +27.5 (-110), Over 85 (-110)

Baylor Bears -27.5 (-110), Under 85 (-110)
