College Football Odds California vs Stanford

Fortunately for California its miserable 2013 campaign concludes later today; however, unfortunately for Sonny Dykes' squad, it will wrap up against No. 9 Stanford in Palo Alto. Kickoff in today's meeting between the Golden Bears and Cardinal is set for 4:00pm ET; it will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1. Saturday College Football Odds from Sportsbook.ag have Stanford listed as a -32 against the spread home favorite. Today's game total is set at 56 points.

California turned in a halfway decent performance in its season opener, falling to Northwestern 30-44 in Berkeley, and it followed up its 2013 debut with a 37-30 win over FCS school Portland State, but it has been all downhill for the Bears since their win over the Vikings.

Cal has lost nine straight games and it may have reached rock bottom last weekend, losing 24-41 to Colorado in Boulder. The Golden Bears allowed 485 total yards in the loss, which is 105 yards more than the Buffaloes season average.

Other than a 28-33 home loss to Arizona, the Bears have been horrific in almost every outing of their streak. California has allowed 40 or more points in all but two of its last nine games and it is averaging just 21.8 points per game since beating Portland State.

Stanford comes into today's games with an 8-2 record, but also smarting from its second loss of the season. The Cardinal took control of the Pac 12 North Division with a 26-20 win over Oregon on November 2nd, but they gave it right back to the Ducks last weekend with a 17-20 loss at USC.

This would seem like a perfect letdown spot for the Cardinal thanks to their loss to the Trojans and their upcoming game against Notre Dame, but Cal is so bad it may not be able to capitalize on the situation.

Notable Trends: The Bears are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games as a road dog against Stanford; however, the Cardinal are 9-1 straight up and 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games as a home favorite with a total of 54.5 or more points.

College Football Odds California vs Stanford:

California Golden Bears +32 (-110), Over 56 (-110)

Stanford Cardinal -32 (-110), Under 56 (-110)
