College Football Odds
Notre Dame -3.5
Total: 54 points
Notre Dame and Michigan State might not be in the same conference, but they sure do play quite a bit. Both of these teams had forgettable 2016 campaigns, both were ranked inside the Top 20 early in the season but combined to finish 7-17. The Spartans have won two straight (and covered) in the series, but they’ve played a pair of cupcakes to start the season.
ND peeled off 515 yards on the ground last week. Josh Adams galloped for 229 while Brandon Wimbush added 207 and four touchdowns. The two will be the focal point for the Irish offense again tonight, but note that under Mark Dantonio Michigan State is often a strong defense against the run.
But Michigan State’s defense is not what it used to be. Sparty is thin up front and only one senior sees significant time on that side of the football.
