Maryland was just 3-9 last season and won just a single game in Big Ten play, so to reach three wins in arguably the toughest conference in college football was impressive.

Both teams used to play each other in ACC?play, making this matchup an interesting one. Boston College head coach Steve Addazio worked with Durkin as they were both on the Florida staff back in 2010. The connections in this game should make for an interesting angle.

BC had to win its final two games to become bowl eligible, beating UConn and?Wake Forest. The Eagles are not a team full of skill position players, which makes them a gritty group that has to win consistently at the line of scrimmage. Interesting enough, the Eagles went the entire month of November without reaching 200 yards passing or rushing in any game, which means they aren’t a team that can really scare you on offense.

Maryland gets quarterback Perry Hills back and close to 100 percent, something he hasn’t been in some time. The Terrapins played several guys at QB this season and it’s no doubt that Hills is the best of the bunch. Maryland has some of those skilled position guys that Boston?College really doesn’t have, so the big-play threat is going to be there today. Maryland is the better team and they are strong enough on offense to give them the advantage here.
