College Football Kentucky Wildcats at Missouri Tigers Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Missouri vs. South Carolina: Score and Twitter Reaction

The Missouri Tigers welcome in the Kentucky Wildcats in SEC college football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the SEC Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Tigers favored by about a touchdown to win.

While the rest of the SEC gets the credit for having great football teams, both Kentucky and Missouri have had successful seasons. The Tigers have just one loss in conference (Georgia) and have winnable games down the stretch as well. Kentucky still has some tough ones left on the schedule but already has gotten to five wins and could be bowling after going 2-10 each of the last two seasons.

The Wildcats put a little bit of a scare into Mississippi State last week, trailing by just a single touchdown most of the game. They were unable to pull the upset, however, and now find themselves needing a win to get back on track. Missouri sits second in the SEC East standings behind Georgia, having gotten smoked by the Bulldogs earlier this month, 34-0.

Since then Missouri has found a way to circle the wagons and get a pair of conference wins over Floria and Vanderbilt. Maty Mauk and the Tigers should be able to feel confident in this one against Kentucky, but scoring points consistently could be a problem. The Wildcats allow just under 25 points per game this year and if Missouri can't establish the run they will become too one-dimensional.

The Tigers themselves boast a pretty solid defense that gives up less than 21 points per game. Only Toledo (24), Indiana (31) and Georgia (34) have scored more than 20 points against Missouri this season. Their defense will look to keep this Kentucky team off the scoreboard.

Patrick Towles already has over 2,000 yards this season through the air, but only 12 touchdowns. Missouri's defense is no slouch and can cause the Wildcats to try and run the football, but they aren't a team that falls in love with handing the ball off.

The edge goes to Missoui. They're playing at home, have the better defense and are in a better position to succeed after a win. Look for the Tigers to get this one at home.
