Michigan remains third in the college football playoff rankings despite losing last weekend at Iowa. The committee looks to be setting both the Wolverines and Ohio State up for a potential playoff game next weekend where if the Wolverines can take care of business, assuming they win this game, they’ll find their way into the Big Ten title game.
Indiana has been posing a threat to many quality teams this season, but at just 5-5 they’re going to have to win one of their final two games to become bowl eligible. Next week they have Purdue on the docket, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
Michigan is obviously upset from last week’s loss, but now they have an added incentive to continue playing well. A victory here, in the final home game of the season, would see them remain unbeaten in Ann Arbor. It’s unclear whether John?O’Korn or Wilton?Speight will be the quarterback here for the Wolverines, but it really shouldn’t matter. Indiana has been better defensively this season, but a pissed off Michigan team looking to get out early and cruise to a win before preparing for Ohio State will make a major difference here.
