The Georgia Bulldogs are taking on the TCU?Horned Frogs in college football action Friday afternoon in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. There was a big line move recently in this game for TCU. It was hovering around a PICK’EM but has moved to favor the Frogs by right around a field goal. The SEC?has not been good in bowl game so far this post season, going 1-4 the first five chances, the lone win coming from Mississippi State as they blocked a field goal as time expired against Miami (Oh).
Georgia won seven games this season, but four of those came early in the campaign. SEC?play proved once again to be tough but Georgia freshman quarterback Jacob Eason looks to be getting better and having Nick?Chubb returning to school for next season gives the Bulldogs a chance to build some momentum here. Chubb rushed for an SEC-bets 500 yards after contact this season and is third now on the Bulldogs’ all-time rushing list.
TCU went 6-6 on the season and has lost all three matchups to Georgia in its history. The Frogs dropped four of their last six games overall, struggling to score points at times and not playing well enough defensively to overcome that.
Kenny Hill needs to have a big game for the Frogs here. They should be able to spread the Bulldogs out as that’s not something they see all the time in the SEC. The Frogs are a bit banged up and could be facing an uphill battle as the Bulldogs can really push the ball on the ground. Georgia certainly has played tougher competition and with their run game, they should be able to control the pace here.
