What used to be known as the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party is now called something else entirely. The game doesn’t look to be living up to those games of the past, either. Florida enters the contest 14th nationally with a 5-1 record and the only loss coming at Tennessee.
Since then the Gators have won twice, beating Vandy and Mizzou while also having a game postponed against LSU until later in the year because of Hurricane Matthew. Florida’s defense has been a key to their season, holding several teams to single digits except for the Volunteers and Missouri last week.
Georgia lost the last time out against Vandy, they also have two other defeats the last three games as well to Ole Miss and Tennessee.
The Bulldogs have a youngster at quarterback in freshman Jacob Eason, he’s thrown for only nine touchdowns on the season as they look to ease him into being an SEC quarterback. Florida has its own young signal caller in sophomore Luke Del Rio, he’s coming off a three-interception game against Missouri last week.
With both quarterbacks being inexperienced, plus Florida’s strong defense, this one looks to be an under type of game. The Gators have won each of the past two games in this rivalry and last year’s 27-3 game could be what this one looks like.
