A battle of West Coast teams takes place Friday night in college football when the USC Trojans are on the road to play the Utah Utes. The game is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX Sports 1. The college football odds for the game have the Utes favored to pick up the victory at home.
College Football Odds
Total: 46.5 points
USC junior quarterback Max Browne is going to be sitting on the sidelines in this one. The Trojans made the change Sunday to go with redshirt freshman Sam Darnold as the new signal-caller, he threw a pair of touchdowns against Utah State this season.
Utah will be looking to take advantage of a USC team that has struggled on offense this season. Having to now prepare for Darnold changes some things for the Utes, but they are strong on defense and have only given up 36 points in three games this season with wins over Southern Utah, BYU and San Jose State.
This will certainly be the biggest test for the Utes to date, probably why they are only a small favorite over a USC team that is switching quarterbacks and already has two losses. Kyle Whittingham teams aren’t one to underestimate any of their opponents, and if they can win this contest, it sets them up to make a strong run in the Pac-12 South. QB Troy Williams cannot turn it over, he’s already thrown four interceptions to date.
