The Fresno State Bulldogs are hosting the San Diego State Aztecs in college football action on Friday night. The game is scheduled for a 10:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the CBS Sports Network. The college football odds for the game have the Aztecs favored by double digits to pick up the win.
College Football Odds
San Diego State -17
Total: 55 points
Fresno State has really fallen from previous seasons, now coach Tim DeRuyter and the team are barely hanging on at just 1-5. The Bulldogs have not been able to consistently put together solid efforts, though they have played four road games in their six contests. The only home game, outside of a win against Sacramento State, was a 7-point loss to Tulsa.
It’s homecoming for Fresno, which should give them some type of added incentive here. San Diego State is a sound college football team, they run the ball for better than 236 yards per game, which ranks 22nd nationally. The offensive line has been solid and Donnel Pumphrey is probably the best tailback in the country most people have not seen play. Pumphrey has already piled up almost 900 yards on the season and has nine touchdowns, he’s averaging almost seven yards per carry as well. That’s not good for a Fresno State team that cannot stop opponents from getting to the end zone.
Fresno is yielding 37.8 points per game, which is tied for 113th in the country. They’re also ranked 126th in the country in run defense, giving Pumphrey and the Aztec offensive line a big advantage in this one. They’ll keep it on the ground a whole bunch in this one and run away with the win.
