College Football Fresno State Bulldogs at Boise State Broncos Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Boise State vs. Fresno State: TV Info, Spread, Injury Updates, Game Time, More

The Fresno State Bulldogs hit the road to take on the Boise State Broncos in college football action Friday night. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the odds for the game have Boise State favored by more than a couple of touchdowns in this one.

The Fresno State Bulldogs and Boise State Broncos have both had their problems to this point in the season, but a win here for either team would be big in the Mountain West.

Boise State has been the big bruiser in this series of late, winning 11 of 12 meetings from 2001-2012. Fresno no longer has Derek Carr under center and the offense has struggled. The Bulldogs have their quarterback in Brian Burrell, but two other players have also seen time under center and combined to throw 14 touchdowns and 11 picks this season.

To be fair, the bulldogs started with a very tough schedule — back-to-back road games to open the year at USC and Utah before hosting Nebraska the following week and losing all three games. They've regrouped a bit and reeled off three straight wins, but last week lost focus at UNLV and lost to the Rebels in overtime.

Fresno still hasn't had a bye week, this being the eighth straight week on the field. Boise is coming off a bye week and haven't played in 11 days. The lone bad loss on the schedule came at Air Force a couple of weeks back, but they responded well in their next game by beating Nevada on the road in a high-scoring affair.

Grant Hedrick has had his problems tossing interceptions this season (10) and has only thrown seven touchdowns this season. That has to improve if the Broncos are going to be able to continue winning in the conference.

Handing off to Jay Ajayi has to help. He's averaging 5.0 yards per carry, has better than 700 yards on the ground and scored eight touchdowns already. If Boise can stick to keeping the ball on the ground they will have no problem winning this game.

But this line has to be inflated because of Fresno's loss last week against UNLV. Look for the Bulldogs to keep it respectable.

Free Pick: Boise State 37, Fresno State 27
