Kapri Bibbs was named the MWC Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row after rushing for 291 yards on 38 carries, while scoring 6 Tds in the lopsided win over New Mexico. He is currently eighth in the nation in rushing with 130.8 ypg and has scored a total of 25 rushing TDs. The offense has been solid for this team, but the defense has not as they are surrendering 298.4 ypg through the air and 450.5 ypg overall to the competition.
Last week the Aggies had a tough game with UNLV, but they came out on top, 28-24, and that win allowed them to become bowl eligible for the year. After QB Chuckie Keeton when down with a season-ending injury last month, Darrell Garretson has stepped in nicely and has completed 64.5% of his passes for 928 yards and 6 TDs. Travis Reynolds has been the most productive receiver for Garretson with his 49 receptions for 818 yards and 4 Tds. The running game has helped this offense out at well as they have put up nearly 200 ypg on the ground. RB Joey DeMartino leads the group with 785 yards and 10 TDs. The Defense for this team has been very good as they rank 17th in the country with just 19.4 ppg allowed and 348.2 ypg, which is 20th in the nation.
Pick: Im going to look to the Under in this one. Utah State's defense has been very good this year as they have allowed just 19.4 ppg on the year, including 20.3 ppg at home. They also have been looking to run the ball a bit more. CSU is also more of a running team and and all that running should keep the clock moving. Low 50's at best here.
