Aside from being a toxic program off the field, the Baylor program has been terrible on the field as well. The Bears lead the country with 9.83 penalties called per game, almost two flags more than any other team in the country. They also enter this game as the first time to play in a bowl game having lost six consecutive games to end a season.?Because of that, the motivation factor should at least be looked at here for Baylor.
Boise is going to pound the football with Jeremy McNichols, he’s scored 23 times this season and averages better than 5.6 yards per carry. McNichols, who ran for better than 1,660 yards on the season, has declared for the NFL?Draft and will be playing in his final game. Their QB, Brett Rypien, can sling it around the yard as well.
The Broncos QB threw for 23 scores and had a pair of 1,000 yard receivers in Thomas Sperbeck and Cedrick Wilson. Boise is treating this game once again as a chance to knock off a Power 5 team on national television. Plus, the motivation and attention of Baylor should be considered here.
