This should be a good game. The Fighting Irish have one of the great tailbacks in college football in Josh Adams, he will be a problem for the USC defense that is allowing opponents to rush for almost 150 yards per game. Adams is rushing for better than 129 yards per game, which is seventh-best in college football.
Notre Dame is one of the better 1-loss teams in the country as well. At 5-1, their only loss was a 1-point defeat at home to Georgia and a win here could shoot them into the Top 10.
This will be the 89th game between these two. USC will need a big game from QB Sam Darnold. He has to avoid throwing interceptions. Turning the football over and giving Notre Dame extra possessions would be bad for the Trojans.
Brandon Wimbush starts for ND, he gives them an option to run the ball if things break down. Wimbush hasn’t seen a front seven like USC’s, though.
