College Football Betting Odds Missouri Tigers vs Florida Gators Free Pick

College football week 8 and the Missouri Tigers will travel to the Swamp to take on the Florida Gators. The game has a start time of 7:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN 2. Current Vegas odds have the Gators listed as 5.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 47.

Analysis:  The Missouri Tigers come in at 4-2 on the year, which includes a 2-0 mark on the road. Two weeks ago they had a big 21-20 road win over South Carolina, but last week they had a bad 34-0 home loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in a game that Georgia was missing Todd Gurley. The Tigers are 5-0 ATS after scoring 14 points or less and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games following a loss. Maty Mauck has completed just 54.4% of his passes, but has thrown for 1107 yards with 14 TDs and 8 INTs. Russell Hansbrough leads the team in rushing with 450 yards, while also posting 6 TDs. Overall the Tigers are ranked 107th in total offense, 98th in passing, 77th in rushing and 76th in scoring (28.8 ppg), while on defense they rank 58th in yards allowed, 59th vs the run, 65th vs the pass and 50th in points allowed (22.8 ppg).

The Florida Gators come in at 3-2 on the year, including 2-1 at home. That home loss was a 30-27 loss to the LSU Tigers last week. The Gators are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games vs a team with a winning record. The gators have had rotating QBs this year with the main guy being Jeff Driskel, who has completed just 54.9% of his passes for 878 yards, with 6 TDs and 8 INTs. Demarcus Robinson is the leading receiver for this team, with 30 catches for 476 yards and 4 TDs, but overall there aren’t many playmakers on this offense. Overall the Gators are 90th in total yards, 91st in passing, 57th in rushing and 56th in scoring (31.8 ppg), while the defense has been solid, ranking 36th in yards allowed, 67th vs the pass, 26th vs the run and 44th in points allowed (22.2 ppg).

Pick: Going to look at the Under in this one. The Missouri offense is having problems scoring right now and this gator’s defense is allot better than they showed last week and vs Alabama a few weeks ago. I feel they will get back on track defensively in this one. The Gator offense woke up a bit last week, but this offense isn’t really geared to do it two weeks in a row and they may be a bit flat after their battle with the Tigers last week. Just don’t see this game nearing 50 points at all.
