College Football Betting Odds Louisville Cardinals vs Georgia Bulldogs Free Pick

College football on Tuesday and we will see the Georgia Bulldogs take on the Louisville Cardinals at Bank Of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina in the Belk Bowl. The game has a start time of 6:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN. Current Vegas betting odds have the Bulldogs listed as 7 point favorites, while the total is set at 56.5.

Analysis:  Gone were Bridgewater and HC Charlie strong from last year, but still the Cardinals managed to have a very nice year, ging 9-3 overall, which included a 5-3 mark in their first year in the ACC. Louisville is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 bowl games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. SEC, but just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game. The Cardinals have been a decent offensive team this year, ranking 72nd in yards, 52nd in passing, 86th in rushing and 43rd in scoring (32.6 ppg). The defense for the Cardinals has been very good this year, ranking 6th in yards allowed, 30th vs the pass, 3rd vs the run and 19th in points allowed (20.5 ppg).

The Georgia Bulldogs had their sights on being in the 4 team playoff at the end of the year, but they had some inconsistent play and ended up finishing the year with a 9-3 mark. Still that has been good enough for a number 13 ranking in the polls. Georgia is 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 vs. ACC, while the Over is 12-3 in their last 15 games following a S.U. loss. The Bulldogs have been very solid offensive squad this year, ranking 32nd in total yards, 90th in passing, 13th in rushing and 8th in scoring (41.7 ppg). The defense for Georgia has been very solid as well, ranking 17th in yards allowed, 2nd vs the pass, 78th vs the run and 23rd in points allowed (21.2 ppg).

Pick:  I like the over in this one as I feel that both teams will come to play on offense. The defenses have been solid for these teams this year, as they both have allowed just 21 ppg so far, but we also not that when the teams have taken on Bowl team their numbers are a bit worse on defense. The Cardinals have allowed 24 ppg vs bowl teams, while the Bulldogs have allowed 25 ppg vs the bowl teams they have faced. Both offenses have been solid this year, with Georgia putting up 42 ppg overall and 34 ppg vs Bowl teams, while the Cardinals have averaged 33 ppg overall and 30 ppg vs bowl teams. I look at this game as a shootout.
