The Bayor Bears are on the road in college football action Friday night, taking on the Rice Owls. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college football odds for the game have the Bears favored by a ton of points on the road.
College Football Odds
Baylor -30.5
Total: 65.5 points
Baylor took a couple of games to get back to looking unstoppable again offensively. The Bears are 2-0 and have piled up 95 total points in victories over Northwestern State and SMU. Traveling to take on Rice, an in-state opponent, won’t be too hard as the Bears picked up a 70-17 win over the Owls last season.
This year is a bit of a different story, without Art Briles on the sidelines Baylor might not be nearly as strong with the football but they still have a lot of talent. As the Bears continue to win games it will be interesting to see how they are viewed nationally.
This is the first home game of the year for Rice, which has lost road games at Western Kentucky and a much-improved Army team. Getting ready for a team like Army and then having to turn around and play a team like Baylor is going to be tough. Bears QB Seth Russell could be in for a big game.
