The Virginia Cavaliers are on the road in college basketball action tonight, taking on the Duke Blue Devils. The game is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college basketball odds for the game have the Blue Devils favored to pick up the win.

Duke, which began the week ranked No. 1 in the country, probably won’t finish there as the Blue Devils are coming off a loss at home to Syracuse. Now the Blue Devils have to find a way to rally here and play one of the tougher defensive teams in the country without their point guard, who suffered an injury in that loss to Syracuse.

Virginia is one of two unbeatens left in college basketball with Michigan being the other. The Wolverines tip off at Wisconsin earlier in the day, so the Cavaliers could take the floor as the last remaining team without a loss when this one tips off. Tony Bennett’s team leads the country in allowing just 51.7 points per game and they’re the second-best team in defensive efficiency numbers, allowing 85.3 points per 100 possessions. They flat out get after you on that end of the floor and it’s going to take a massive effort to slow down Duke.

The Blue Devils still have RJ Barrett, they still have Zion Williamson. They’re obviously a talented team and those two players lead the ACC?in scoring. We will see whether or not Barrett plays with the ball in his hands a lot in this one, because Duke has to find someone to play that position with Tre Jones out. Virginia has won nine consecutive games against ranked opponents. They’re good enough to win this game as well.
