College Basketball UCLA Bruins at USC Trojans Start Time, Betting Odds, Free Pick

The UCLA Bruins are on the road in college basketball action on Wednesday, taking on the USC Trojans. The game is scheduled for an 11:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX Sports 1. The college basketball odds for the game have the Bruins favored by a couple of possessions to pick up the win.

College Basketball Odds
UCLA -6
Total: 172.5 points

When UCLA is at home, they are good enough to beat anybody in the country. That wasn’t the case this past weekend, though, as they dropped a 96-85 decision to Arizona. The Bruins shot 45 percent from the field in that game, only to see the Wildcats post 50 percent shooting from the field as Alonzo Trier came back from suspension to help lead the team to the win.

The Bruins are the top-ranked offensive efficiency rated team in the country, averaging better than 1.25 points per possession this year. UCLA has a ton of guys that can go out and get points, led by Bryce Alford’s 17.2 points per contest. TJ Leaf, Isaac Hamilton, Aaron Holiday and Thomas Welsh all average double figures per game as well, but UCLA goes by the way of super freshman Lonzo Ball.

Ball averages 15 points, eight assists and nearly six rebounds per game. He’s all over the court and really pushes the pace to get UCLA in transition.

USC isn’t bad, but they have struggled lately, losing four of the last seven games overall. The 17-4 record is solid, but they have just one Top 50 win (SMU).  The loss of Bennie Boatwright is hurting them on both ends of the floor and the Trojans need a big win to hang on the resume, but it’s going to be tough to beat this UCLA team without the Trojans’ best player.

Both Jordan McLaughlin and Elijah Stewart average better than 14 points per game, but it’s going to take a much better effort on the offensive end to keep up with the Bruins. Rivalry games can be tough and the Trojans will play a tough game here, but UCLA is strong on the road, winning four of five and nearly beating Oregon in the one loss. The Bruins have too much talent.
