College Basketball Tuesday Oklahoma at Missouri Basketball Odds, Start Time and Free Pick

MUTIGERSDOTCOM

Tuesday night in CBB will see the Oklahoma Sooners travel to Columbia, Missouri to take on the Missouri Tigers. The game is scheduled for a 8:00 pm tipoff and will be televised live on MSN and ESPN Full Court. Currently Missouri is favored by 13 points with the total being set at 152 for this game.  One of only four remaining undefeated teams in the nation, the seventh-ranked Missouri Tigers try to keep the good times rolling tonight as they host the Oklahoma Sooners in Big 12 Conference action at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.

Free Analysis: Enjoying its best start in 30 years, the seventh-ranked Tigers look to keep rolling as they open Big 12 play Tuesday night against visiting Oklahoma. Missouri (13-0) moved up one spot in this week's AP poll after keeping its unblemished record intact with Friday's 75-68 victory at Old Dominion.  If their recent history in this series is any indication, the Tigers have to like their chances of extending their best start since opening 19-0 in 1981-82. Missouri has posted five consecutive home victories over Oklahoma (10-2) by an average of 10.8 points - including an 84-61 win Feb. 12. Missouri won 27 straight home games over unranked opponents by an average of 23.9 points and they lead the nation in scoring margin this year as 324.3 ppg. The Tigers certainly had to work for their 13th win of the season, a 75-68 nail-biter at Old Dominion. Marcus Denmon scored 17 of his 19 points after halftime, including a dagger 3-pointer with 61 seconds left that put Missouri ahead for good. Denmon is third in the Big 12 at 18.7 points per game, while Ratliffe is averaging 14.2 points on 76.1 percent shooting - the best in Division I- and Pressey has posted at least five assists in a school-record eight straight games, totaling 61 over that span.  The Tigers, averaging 86.2 points, lead the nation in shooting a remarkable 51.7 percent from the floor, while Holding teams to just 61.8 ppg on 41.1% shooting. . The Sooners - projected by many to finish near the bottom of the conference - have only two losses through the first two months of the season, but their most notable wins were vs Arkansas and Washington State. Oklahoma, has dropped 16 of 17 conference road games - including its last five in 2010-11, and they have also lost 12 consecutive meetings with ranked foes by an average of 15.4 points.  Pledger, a 48.4 percent shooter from behind the three-point line, is pacing the Sooners in scoring with his 18.8 ppg, while Fitzgerald (12.3 ppg) and Osby (10.8 ppg) also fall into the category of clutch offensive performers for the program. Osby is the key figure in the paint for Oklahoma as he is pulling down 8.8 rpg to lead the team, which has helped them outrebound its opponents in 11 of 12 contests this season. A year ago, the Sooners outrebounded just nine foes the entire campaign. Oklahoma is 39th in scoring (77.1 ppg) and 11th in in 3point shooting (41%), while on defense they have allowed 64.2 ppg (116th) on 38.5% shooting overall (61st).

Free Pick: This is not a good spot for the Sooners. The Tigers needed a late comeback vs an inferior foe (ODU) in their last game and you can bet Frank Haith is not happy and will have his team ready for this Big 12 opener tonight. The Sooners are picked near the bottom of the Big 12 standings and recent history has shown that they have struggled in this spot. They have lost 16 of their last 17 conference road games and in their last 12 meetings with ranked foes they are 0-12 and have been outscored by 15.4 ppg, plus they are 1-8 ATS when playing against a top-level team (Win Pct. > 80%) over the last 2 seasons and 0-7 ATS in road games after playing a game away from home over the last 3 seasons. With this being the first real road game of the season for the Sooners, the team will certainly learn a lot about itself and how it stacks up against the rest of the elite in the Big 12 and the nation. Unfortunately for Oklahoma, the Tigers just have too many weapons to turn to that can give them a lift when they are in need. Missouri by at least 17 in this game.
