College Basketball Princeton Tigers vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish Start Time, Betting Odds

The NCAA Tournament opens with the Round of 64 Thursday afternoon when the Princeton Tigers take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The game is scheduled for a 12:15 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. The college basketball odds for the game have the Fighting Irish favored by a couple of possessions to pick up the win.

College Basketball Odds
Notre Dame -7
Total: 134

Notre Dame should be a bigger favorite here, but the annual 12-5 matchup in the NCAA Tournament always brings some intrigue. The Fighting Irish fell in the ACC Tournament finals to Duke on Saturday night, but they should be back in full form and ready to go in this one.

The Fighting Irish are a trendy pick to make a run to the Final Four and if they can get hot with their shooting, they certainly are good enough to do so.

Princeton, though, is also a trendy pick to win this particular game. The Tigers have won 19 consecutive games to this point, including all 14 conference games. Defensively they are one of the best teams in the country in allowing just 61.6 points per game (10th best) and they force turnovers on 23 percent of their opponents possessions.

Princeton can knock down 3s like ND, but they are better defensively. Bonzie Colson is a menace down low and if he gets going he could really put a damper on anything Princeton has going on.

But the Tigers know how to win, they’re red hot and they can knock down threes, plus play great defense. They’re going to put a scare into Notre Dame, if not win.
