The Miami Hurricanes are hosting the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college basketball on Thursday. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college basketball odds for the game have the Hurricanes favored by a slim margin in this one at home.

Total: 133.5 points
The 20th-ranked Fighting Irish sit atop the ACC standings, the only team other than Florida State with a zero in the conference loss column. Notre Dame has won five straight since losing consecutive contests to Villanova and Purdue not that long ago, just last week they knocked off Top 10 Louisville.
Mike Brey’s team can score points, they share the basketball (18 assists per game) and can play well on the defensive end of the floor. This could be tricky though as it’s only the second true road game for Notre Dame this season, the first being a 78-77 overtime win at Pittsburgh on New Year’s Eve.
Miami can play defense, allowing just 59.7 points per game. That ranks sixth-best in the country and rank 27th nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency numbers. That should be an advantage for them here in this one at home, a place they are certainly comfortable having won all eight games on their home court this season.
Notre Dame is led by their four star players — Bonzie Colson, Steve Vasturia, V.J. Beachem and Matt Farrell — who each average at least 14 points per game. Outside of that, the Irish have no offensive threat on the floor. The Irish are going to need a big combination of those four to play well in this one.
Miami at home is tough to beat, ND hasn’t played enough on the road and the Hurricane defense will be tough.
