North Carolina might be the best team remaining in the NCAA Tournament, but it’s going to take a solid effort tonight to beat Butler. Like Arizona on Thursday night, the Tar Heels are a comfortable favorite to advance in the tournament, but North Carolina needs to avoid falling like the Wildcats did.

Butler has picked up wins over double-digit seeds Winthrop and Middle Tennessee State in their two games. The scores were very similar (76-64 and 74-65) and close enough that the Bulldogs are battle tested, but clearly North Carolina is going to be the best team they have played in a while. Arkansas pushed the Tar Heels in the second round, Carolina shot just 38 percent and turned it over 17 times in that game, but found a way to win.

It seems every game this tournament has been close and Butler is good enough to keep this one close as well.
