The college basketball odds for the game have the Boilermakers listed as a comfortable favorite to pick up the win in this one.
College Basketball Odds
Purdue -9
The Boilermakers are an excellent basketball team. They have just three losses in Big Ten play to date and each of those games were close. The Boilers have responded to win each of their last four games dating back to that last loss, which came on the road at Nebraska by three points. Prior to that game they had knocked off Michigan State in East Lansing, now they’re hoping to avoid the Spartans returning the favor in West Lafayette.
Michigan State has not been a good road team this season, winning just twice. The Spartans are playing better basketball at this point in the year, logging four wins the last five games overall with three of those wins coming at home. The lone loss came in blowout fashion against Michigan.
Purdue loves to get the ball to Caleb Swanigan and that seems good enough to get a win here. The Boilermakers can work inside-out and if Swanigan is getting some strong work on the interior, it allows for open perimeter shots for Vince Edwards and Dakota Mathias, bot hit at least 44 percent from downtown.
MSU has the excellent star in Miles Bridges, but they are going to get pounded on the inerior with the big men from Purdue.
