The Iowa State Cyclones are playing the Purdue Boilermakers in NCAA Tournament action tonight. The game is scheduled for a 9:40 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on TBS. This should be an excellent contrast in style that makes the NCAA Tournament great. Purdue loves to pound the rock inside the Caleb Swanigan and Iowa State wants to run with point guard Monte Morris and create opportunities in transition. 

The 4-5 matchups are really entertaining and this should be no different. The Cyclones scored 84 points in their opening over Nevada, Purdue posted 80 points in a win over Vermont in the opening round. Morris missed a triple-double by just two rebounds and two assists, outside of that he was phenomenal and steadied a Cyclone team to the win even though Nevada played well and made a run or two. Deonte Burton had a huge impact on the game as well and his fire and athleticism are both huge for the Cyclones in this matchup.

Purdue could be dumping it into Swanigan and Isaac Haas all game and probably find a way to win. The duo rarely play on the floor at the same time because of spacing issues, but when they rotate them around the Boilermakers can be very strong.

But in this contest we’ll take the better overall point guard. Morris is arguably the most seasoned in the country and he can play against anybody.
