The West Virginia Mountaineers are hosting the Iowa State Cyclones tonight in college basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. The college basketball odds for the game have the Mountaineers favored by a couple of possessions to pick up the win.

This is the only real marquee game of the night in college basketball. Iowa State travels to Morgantown after a big win at home earlier this week over Oklahoma State, West Virginia is entering the game off a loss on the road at Baylor.

For these two teams to be playing their regular season finale on a Friday night is nice. Both are comfortably in the NCAA Tournament field and are now jockeying for position in the overall seeding ranks. Both could obviously improve their stock in the Big 12 Tournament as well.

Iowa State has the point guard in Monte Morris that can break down the Mountaineer press. West Virginia loves to pressure people and force them into making a ton of turnovers, having a point guard like Morris will help. The Mountaineers won on the road in Ames already this season, but Iowa State has won six consecutive games overall.
