The Florida Gators are taking on the South Carolina Gamecocks in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon. These two teams reached the Elite Eight in different ways. The Gamecocks beat Baylor 70-50 in the last round and never really looked like they were being tested from a Bears team that was really struggling. South Carolina has really adopted the Frank Martin mindset — the Gamecocks are brutally strong on the defensive end of the floor and bring the intensity.

Florida got a buzzer-beating shot from Chris Chiozza to beat Wisconsin 84-83 on Friday night. The Gators had built a double digit lead in that game but eventually played in overtime and somehow got it done. 

These two teams met twice during the regular season, the two each won on their own floor and this rubber match should be an excellent one. Both teams are playing some strong basketball and while the defenses should be a key, the team that can get into a rhythm offensively and connect for big shots will be a major difference.
