The Georgia Bulldogs are hosting the Florida Gators in college basketball action on Tuesday night. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. The college basketball odds for the game have the Gators favored to pick up the win on the road.

Florida is coming off a huge win during the weekend, knocking off Kentucky in Gainesville as they picked up a fourth consecutive victory. In those four wins the Gators have looked like the best team in America, though they are now ranked just 17th in the country. Clobbering wins over LSU, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kentucky have gotten Florida back on the radar of those in the college basketball landscape, now we get to see whether or not Florida can keep things going as they have several winnable games the next few weeks before playing South Carolina at home.
Georgia is a scrappy team itself, but they have lost four of the last five games overall, though two of those came at Kentucky and at South Carolina. The Bulldogs are solid on the defensive end of the floor, but they are going to have to score points here to beat Florida.
Yante Maten leads the offensive attack for the Bulldogs, he’s a near 20-point per game scorer and he leads the team in rebounding. Maten is going to need a big game, helped out by J.J. Frazier, who averages 16 points per game as well.
Florida has quite a few options offensively, led by KeVaughn Allen and his 14 points a contest. Allen didn’t shoot the ball well against Kentucky but still had 12 points. The Gators got 21 points and six assists from Kasey Hill, he led all scorers in that contest and really helped provide the Gators with some veteran leadership against a strong Kentucky team loaded with talent.
In this one, Georgia is going to have to play extremely well on both ends of the floor. The Bulldogs are strong enough to win this game, but Florida is too good.
