The Gonzaga Bulldogs are taking on the South Carolina Gamecocks in the opening game of the Final Four on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 6:09 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. The college basketball odds for the game have the Bulldogs favored to pick up the win.

Gonzaga is making its first appearance in the Final Four, this has the ability to be a great story for Mark Few. The Bulldogs have only one loss on the season to BYU and outside of that have flirted with looking like the best team in the country.

The Bulldogs are big up front and will challenge the South Carolina zone. The trio of Przemek Kanowski, Johnathan Williams and Zach Collins up front should be able to get easy looks at the hoop and if the Gamecocks double down, Gonzaga has guys that can knock down triples, even though they aren’t a big-time 3-point shooting team.

The Gamecocks are a great story and Sindarius Thornwell makes them dangerous. He averaged almost 22 points per game for the entire year and has scored at least 24 points in all four tournament games to this point. South Carolina wasn’t a great offensive team during the year, but they’ve been strong during the post season and looking to continue that in this one.

But Gonzaga is too good on both ends of the floor.
