The Duke Blue Devils are playing the Troy Trojans in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday. The game is scheduled for a 7:20 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on TBS. The college basketball odds for the game have the Blue Devils favored to pick up the win and advance.

Duke is looking stronger than ever at this point, the Blue Devils are coming off a tournament title in the ACC and they became the first school to win four games in four days there. They have weapons all over the floor and if Jayson Tatum is playing at a high level, the Blue Devils are going to make a deep run and probably head to the Final Four.
Troy won 22 games this season and they will be looking to knock off Duke just like Mercer did when the Blue Devils were a two seed. That was the last time Duke entered the NCAA Tournament as a second seed in the brackets and head coach Mike Krzyzewski and his club are looking to avenge that defeat.
The Trojans are led by a team that can score some points, but they certainly lack on the defensive end. Jordon Varnado averages 16.5 points and seven rebounds per game, which is pretty solid for a sophomore, but going up against Duke’s front line is not going to be easy.
Tatum, Amile Jefferson and Harry Giles are all starting to play better and that should have the rest of the tournament field taking notice. Don’t forget Luke Kennard and his 20 points a game and Grayson Allen taking on a different role, he’s come off the bench recently and can by a nice spark for the Devils.
