Oregon Ducks vs UCLA Bruins Pac-12 Odds, Free Pick

Saturday college basketball and we will see the Oregon Ducks travel to Pauley Pavilion to take on the UCLA Bruins. The game has a start time of 3:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on FOX. Current Vegas betting odds have UCLA listed as 6.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 148.

Analysis:  The Oregon Ducks come in off a nice 80-75 home win over Washington State on Sunday night. The win was their 4th in a row and 6th in their last 7 games as they have been playing very well of late. Overall the Ducks are 18-7, including 8-4 in the Pac-12. Oregon has gone 33-16-3 ATS in their last 52 games following a ATS win and 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in UCLA, but just 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Ducks have been a strong offensive team this year, ranking 20th in scoring (77.4 ppg), 48th in shooting (46.6%), 103rd in 3 point shooting (36.0%) and 15th in FT shooting (75.4%). The defense for this team has not been very good this year as they come in ranked 297th in points allowed (71.4 ppg), 120th in defensive FG% (41.6%) and 158th in 3 point defense (33.5%).

The UCLA Bruins have been playing solid ball of late as they have won 4 of their last 5 games, including a 16 point home win over Oregon State on Wednesday night. Overall the Bruins are 15-10 on the year, including 7-5 in the Pac-12 and 12-1 at home. UCLA has gone 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games, but just 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. The Bruins have been a solid offensive team this year, ranking 85th in scoring (71.4 ppg), 235th in shooting (42.4%), 144th in 3 point shooting (35.0%) and 286th in FT shooting (65.7%). The defense for this team has been  poor as they come in ranked 238th in points allowed (68.4 ppg), 122nd in defensive FG% (41.6%) and 223rd in 3 point defense (34.7%).

Pick: Lets take a shot at the Over in this game. Both of these teams like to push tempo and both teams can score plenty, which has me seeing this game being played in the 150s. Oregon has scored 76 ppg on the road this year, while the Bruins have averaged 81.2 ppg at home. UCLA has played good defense at home, but really haven't played an offense the caliber of Oregon's yet here and I expect them to have problems slowing down the ducks in this one. Oregon has stopped no one on the road where they have allowed 85 ppg on the year. I say this one ends in the mid-150s.
