The Ohio State Buckeyes are on the road tonight in Big Ten College Basketball action when they take on the Penn State Nittany Lions. The game is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the Big Ten Network. Currently the College Basketball Betting Odds for the game have the Buckeyes favored on the road to get the win.

Ohio State comes in having won two straight games in conference play. The Buckeyes have Wisconsin at home in the regular season finale, so they can not afford to be looking ahead of Penn State tonight. The Nittany Lions have not been a good team this season and they've dropped seven of their last eight games overall. The only win during that time came against free-falling Nebraska.

D.J. Newbill is the best pure scorer in the conference, but he's on a bad team. Newbill is the only player on Penn State to average double figures per game at 20.4 points and he's on the floor nearly the whole time, averaging 37 minutes per game as well. The last time these two teams met Newbill finished with 16 points in a game the Buckeyes won by 20 points. 

The Buckeyes were led in that one by Sam Thompson with 22, freshman phenom D'Angelo Russell poured in 17 points and handed out seven assists as well. Russell has been arguably the best overall player in the Big Ten for most of the season, but Frank Kaminsky at Wisconsin appears to be in line to win the player of the year nod. Still, Russell and the Bucks need to have a good game in this one as they are just 3-6 in road games this season. Penn State, on the other hand, holds a 10-5 record in home games.

Ohio State has a chance to earn a bye from the opening round of the conference tournament, Penn State is guaranteed to play on that opening Wednesday. It's senior night and the Lions knocked off Ohio State at home last season but since then Penn State has dropped six straight against ranked opponents. Will the Nittany Lions be able to knock off a ranked-Ohio State team again in this one?
