College Basketball Betting Odds Ohio State Buckeyes vs Louisville Cardinals Free Pick

NCAA basketball on Tuesday night and we will see the Ohio State Buckeyes travel to KFC Yum! Center to take on the Louisville Cardinals. The game has a start time of 9:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN. Vegas odds have the Cardinals listed as 8 point favorites, while the total sits at 136.

Analysis: The Ohio State Buckeyes come in at 5-0 on the year, which has them ranked 13th in the nation. They have played all that tough a schedule, but still are just 1-3 ATS on the year. 6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. Atlantic Coast and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games following three or more consecutive home games, but just 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Buckeyes come in ranked 10th in the nation in scoring (87.2 ppg), 2nd in FG%, 26th in 3-point shooting and 95th in FT shooting. On defense the Buckeyes are 33rd in points allowed (57.2 ppg), 51st in FG% allowed and 133rd n defensive FG%.

The Louisville Cardinals also come into this game at 5-0, while having a ranking of 5th in the nation. The Cardinals have gone 4-0 at home for the year. The Cardinals are just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 50 points in their previous game, while the Under is 3-1-1 in Cardinals last 5 games after scoring less than 50 points in their previous game, and the Over is 22-10 in Cardinals last 32 home games. Louisville comes in ranked 50th in scoring (77.2 ppg), 164th in shooting, 343rd in 3-point shooting and 336th in FT shooting. Defensively they are rock solid, ranking 3rd in scoring (46.6 ppg), 3rd in defensive FG% and 1st in 3 point defense.

Pick:   I have to go with the Under in this one. The Louisville defense has been stifling this year so far, but that is nothing new as they have always played tough defense. On offense they have scored 77.2 ppg, but are not a good shooting team and are horrible from long rang and at the charity stripe. The Buckeyes have been a solid offensive team this year, but haven't faced a defense this tough just yet, while their own defense is one of the better in the nation. Neither team is super up tempo and while the Over is 22-10 in Louisville's last 32 home games, we not that not many of those games had an OU line this high.
