College Basketball Betting Odds Kentucky Wildcats vs Tennessee Volunteers Free Pick

The top-ranked Kentucky Wildcats are on the road tonight in SEC College Basketball action when they take on the Tennessee Volunteers. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the College Basketball Betting Odds for the game have the Wildcats favored by double digits to earn the victory.

There's been little doubt that Kentucky has the best team in America, proving it night after night in the SEC. Tonight they take on a tough Tennessee team on the road in just another one of those road bumps. The Volunteers are not an NCAA Tournament team, they're only 6-6 in league play and it will take a miraculous effort from Tennessee to upset the Wildcats tonight.

Kentucky, now 25-0, are the best defensive team in the country. They allow opponents to score just 51.8 points per game and that will certainly test the Volunteers tonight. Tennessee is coming off a 55-point performance against LSU in a loss on Saturday and they've only scored 65 points or more in five conference games, going 3-2 in those five games. Only four teams all season have gotten to 65 points against Kentucky, with North Carolina, LSU and Ole Miss at least having somewhat of a chance against the Wildcats.

John Calipari's team has posted a perfect 7-0 record on the road this season, and Kentucky should be able to dominate this game on the interior. There's little doubt that the Wildcats have the best front court in college hoops with Willie Cauley-Stein and Karl-Anthony Towns dominating the blocks. And even when they come out for breathers the Wildcats are able to plug in just another McDonald's All-American with either Trey Lyles, Dakari Johnson or Marcus Lee to eat up minutes.

Tennessee really has no legitimate post threat that can battle on the blocks tonight. Armani Moore has played well this season for the Volunteers in the paint, recently scoring 16 points against the big front line of LSU on Saturday. Moore has been scoring in double figures frequently the last month but that's not going to be enough against Kentucky.

The Volunteers don't shoot the basketball well, rebounding hasn't been their strength and they just don't have the bodies to match up with Kentucky. Calipari's team is focused right now and it will show tonight.
