College Basketball Betting Odds Florida State Seminoles vs Virginia Cavaliers Free Pick

Sunday college Basketball and we will see the Florida State Seminoles travel to John Paul Jones Arena to take on the Virginia Cavaliers. The game has a start time of 6:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN U. Current Vegas betting odds have Virginia listed as 15.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 114.

Analysis: The Florida State Seminoles come in having won 3 of their last 4 games, with that loss being by just 3 points at home to Duke. The Noles are just just 15-12 overall for the year, including just 7-7 in the ACC. The Noles have gone 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win, but just 6-19-1 ATS in their last 26 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. The Seminoles have been a very average offensive team this year, ranking 159th in scoring (68.2 ppg), 54th in shooting (46.4%), 295th in 3 point shooting (31.0%) and 251st in FT shooting (66.9%). The defense for this team has not been that good as they come in ranked 200th in points allowed (67.2 ppg), 118th in defensive FG% (41.6%) and 113th in 3 point defense (32.7%).

The Virginia Cavaliers have won 6 games in a row since their lone loss of the year, which was to Duke. The Cavs are now at 24-1 overall and lead the ACC by 1 game over Notre Dame with a 12-1 mark. Virginia has gone 28-9-2 ATS in their last 39 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record, but just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win. The Cavaliers have not been a very good offensive team this year, ranking 197th in scoring (66.4 ppg), 67th in shooting (46.0%), 88th in 3 point shooting (36.5%) and 40th in FT shooting (73.5%). Defensively the Cavs have been excellent this year, ranking 1st in points allowed (50.8 ppg), 3rd in defensive FG% (35.9%) and 37th in 3 point defense (30.8%).

Pick: Going with the Under here. the Under is 14-3 the last 17 in the series and the way that the Cavs play defense at home I can't look anywhere else. Virginia has allowed just 50.8 ppg overall and just 47.9 ppg at home, which has me feeling that the Noles just will not put up enough points for this game to go over the total. I am expecting a 60-45 type game here
