Cleveland Browns vs Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Odds

It may be a case of too little too late for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they will, nonetheless, attempt stay in the playoff mix this afternoon when they host the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field. Today's game between the Browns and Steelers is scheduled to get underway at 1:00pm ET on CBS. According to the latest Sunday NFL Odds from Sportsbook.ag, Pittsburgh is favored by seven points and the Over/Under is set at 44 points.

Nothing short of a miracle will get the Steelers into the playoffs, but they are, amazingly, still in the postseason chase thanks to last weekend's 38-31 win over the Packers at Lambeau Field.

Here is what Pittsburgh needs to take place on Sunday in order for them to secure a postseason berth: First they must beat Cleveland, and, second, they need the Ravens, Dolphins, and Chargers all to lose.

It is improbable, but not impossible. Regardless, the Steelers can only take care of one thing on that list so their attention should be focused completely on the Browns.

No one would fault Pittsburgh if it somehow became distracted, though. Cleveland, after all, has hardly put up a fight against the Steelers for the better part of a decade. Pittsburgh is 8-2 in its last 10 meetings with the Browns and it has won nine straight games opposite its rival in the Steel City.

Cleveland is also in an epic free fall at the moment. The Browns were competitive in the early part of the season, posting a 4-5 record through nine games, but they have dropped six straight since coming out of their week 10 bye.

Despite its current slide, Cleveland has shown some fire on occasion. The Browns took the Patriots to the wire in Foxborough and they lost by four at home to an improved Jacksonville team. The other four losses, including a 27-11 home loss to Pittsburgh, were all by seven or more points, though.

Notable Trends: The Browns are 0-10 straight up and 1-8-1 against the spread in their last 10 games as a road dog against a division opponent with a spread between 4 and 7.5 points.

Cleveland Browns vs Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Odds:

Cleveland Browns +7 (-110), Over 44 (-110)

Pittsburgh Steelers -7 (-110), Under 44 (-110)
