The Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder will close out today’s NBA action as they clash at the Chesapeake Energy Arena tonight. Start time in this evening’s meeting between the Bulls and Thunder is set for 9:30pm ET; the game will be televised live on ESPN. The latest NBA Odds have the hosting Thunder listed as a -9 against the spread home favorite; the Over/Under is set at 195 points. The Bulls are drawing +400 moneyline odds to win their third straight road game.
Chicago has not played that well of late as its offense has struggled to put points on the scoreboard. The Bulls are 4-6 in their last 10 games while averaging a meager 89.8 points per contest.
Chicago did, however, have a breakout offensive performance on Friday night as it plastered the Bobcats 105-75 in Charlotte. The win, which came on the heels of an 86-67 home loss to the Heat, saw eight Bulls score in double figures, including reserves Taj Gibson, Jimmy Butler, and Marco Belinelli.
Chicago may be able to produce a similar effort tonight given the Thunder’s mediocre defensive play (98 points per game allowed), but it may have to better to keep up with Oklahoma City.
The Thunder, who lead the league in scoring, are coming off their 24th home win of the season, a 127-111 beat down of the Timberwolves. OKC set a blistering offensive pace, shooting 57.8 from the field, 64.3 percent from beyond the arc, and 100 percent (22-for-22) from the free throw line.
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook led the way, scoring 27 and 37 points respectively, but Kevin Martin also had a big night off the bench, posting 19 points in 25 minutes of action.
Chicago, a 17-10 road team, is 1-3 in its last four games against the Thunder and it has dropped its last two in OKC by an average of 12.5 points per game.
