Buffalo Bills vs New England Patriots Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

NFL Week 17 and we will see the Buffalo Bills travel to Foxboro Stadium to take on the New England Patriots. The game has a start time of 4:25 pm (Eastern) will be televised on CBS. Current odds have New England listed as 8 point favorites, while the total sits at 47.

Analysis: The 6-9 Buffalo Bills aided the Pats' division title quest with their shutout win over the Dolphins last week. With EJ Manuel sidelined with a knee injury, Thad Lewis again got the better of the Dolphins, throwing for 193 yards, and Fred Jackson added 111 yards one the Ground, while the defense limited Miami to 103 total yards of offense and collected a season-high 7 sacks in the win. It was a complete team effort and they will need another one if they hope to upset the Pats in this one.  The run game is the bread and butter of the Bills offensive attack, as they are racking up an AFC-best 142.5 rushing yards per game, including a 200.5 average over the last two contests. They recorded 136 yards on 34 carries in the first meeting, with Fred Jackson averaging 5.2 yards per rush. The 7 sacks that the Bills garnered vs Miami gave gives them a season total of 56, which is a franchise record. Mario Williams, who is one sack shy of matching a career-high 14 set in 2007, Kyle Williams and Jerry Hughes all have at least 10.

The New England Patriots can clinch a first-round bye and possibly the top overall seed if they can get past the visiting Buffalo Bills today and Denver losses to Oakland. New England (11-4) clinched its fifth straight AFC East title and 10th in 11 years early last Sunday when Miami suffered a 19-0 loss to Buffalo. The Patriots defeated the Bills 23-21 in the season opener on Stephen Gostkowski's 35-yard field goal with five seconds left. Brady threw two TD passes to Julian Edelman and New England held Buffalo to an opponent season-low 286 yards. With his 24 touchdown passes on pace to be his lowest single-season total since having 28 in 2009 but still he has topped 4,000 yards passing for the third straight season and sixth time in his career. Brady picked up his 147th career regular-season victory last weekend to move into a tie with Dan Marino for fourth on the all-time wins list among starting quarterbacks. New England has taken four straight and 19 of the past 20 meetings.

Pick: I will look to the under in this one. Should be a cold game in Foxboro and they way the Bills defense has been playing of late they should hold down a Pats offense that is dealing with injuries again. On offense this Bills will look to run, run and run the ball more. That will eat clock. I really don't expect more than 42 in this one.
