The Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks will play on foreign soil this afternoon when they battle at the O2 Arena in London, England. Today's meeting between the Nets and Hawks, which will serve as a home game for Atlanta, is scheduled to get underway at 3:00pm ET on NBA TV. These two teams locked horns at the Barclays Center last week and Brooklyn walked away with a 91-86 victory. The Nets certainly had their troubles at the offensive end of the floor as they shot just 41.3 percent from the field and 29.6 percent from long range, but their effort on the defensive end of the floor got them over the hump.

Brooklyn, which Atlanta to 70 field goal attempts, limited the Hawks to 38.6 percent shooting and it forced them into 18 turnovers.

That win was one part of a five game winning streak for the Nets, who headed into the new year with an abysmal 10-21 record. Brooklyn is now 15-22 overall after seeing its run snapped at Atlantic Division leader Toronto on Saturday night.

The month of January has not been as kind to the Hawks, who are 2-4 since the calendar change; however, Atlanta is still above the break even point at 20-18.

The Hawks suffered a 101-108 loss at Memphis on Sunday, but they bounced back nicely from their January 6th clash with Brooklyn by earning home wins over the red hot Pacers and the Houston Rockets.

The Nets have won three of the last four games in this series, but Atlanta had win six straight regular season meetings against its Eastern Conference rival between March 2011 and January 2013.

Notable Trends: The Nets 1-4 both straight up and opposite the number in their last five games as a road favorite with a spread between 0 and 3.5 points.
