Brooklyn Nets at Indiana Pacers NBA Odds

The Brooklyn Nets will play their last road game before this weekend’s All-Star break when they battle the Indiana Pacers at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis later tonight. Start time in this evening’s Eastern Conference clash between the Nets and Pacers is set for 7:00pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on the YES Network. NBA Odds have Indiana listed as a -9 against the spread and -450 moneyline favorite ($450 wins $100). The total in tonight’s game is set at 182.5 points.

The Nets are a respectable 29-22 on the season, but they enter tonight’s game scuffling a bit. Brooklyn, which trails the first place Knicks by four games in the Atlanta standings, has lost six of its last nine games and it enters tonight’s game off an embarrassing, nationally televised home loss to the Spurs.

San Antonio whipped the Nets 111-86 at the Barclays Center last night, handing them their third loss in four games. Brooklyn got solid offensive efforts out of Brook Lopez and Joe Johnson as they combined for 37 points and six assists, but the team’s defensive performance was horrendous.

The Spurs shot 58.9 percent from the field and they were even better from long range, knocking down 12-of-19 from beyond the arc.

Brooklyn will, in all probability, not have to worry about such an offensive outburst coming from the Pacers this evening; however, the Nets, who will be without point guard Deron Williams, should have some concerns. What Indiana lacks in offense, it makes up for with a suffocating defense (the Pacers rank second in scoring defense with a 90.2 points per game allowed average).

The Pacers, who lead the Central Division with a 31-20 record, are also one of the league’s best home teams. Indiana suffered just its fourth home loss of the season on Friday night, falling to the Raptors 100-98 in overtime. It will, no doubt, be looking to make amends for that unexpected setback when it takes the court tonight.

Free Pick: Take the Pacers -9. Indiana, which has won 10 of its last 12 against Brooklyn, is 6-0 straight up and 4-2 against the spread in its last six games as a home favorite with a total between 180 and 185 points.

Brooklyn Nets at Indiana Pacers NBA Odds:

Brooklyn Nets +9 (-110), Over 182.5 (-110), +350 (Moneyline)

Indiana Pacers -9 (-110), Under 182.5 (-110), -450 (Moneyline)
