Boston, which enters tonight’s game with a 14-13 record, has struggled with its consistency all season long, but it has an opportunity to record what has become increasingly rare back to back wins tonight. The Celtics destroyed the reeling Nets 93-76 in Brooklyn on Christmas, giving them just their second win in their last six games and their first road win since November 25th (Orlando).
Boston’s recent struggles, especially away from home, would suggest it is in trouble tonight. Not only are the Celtics having trouble getting road wins, their last three road losses were all double digit setbacks (Houston 101-89, San Antonio 103-88, Chicago 100-89). Conversely, the Clippers have not won by fewer than 10 points at home since topping the Timberwolves 101-95 on November 28th.
