Boston Celtics vs Dallas Mavericks NBA Odds, Start Time

Dallas’ fight to stay in the postseason chase continues tonight as it hosts the Boston Celtics at the American Airlines Center. Start time in tonight’s meeting between the Mavericks and Celtics is set for 8:30pm ET; the game can be seen live on Fox Sports Southwest. The latest NBA Odds are favoring the Mavericks at -4.5 against the spread and -200 on the moneyline ($200 wins $100). Boston is drawing +170 odds ($100 wins $170) and the Over/Under is set at 196.5 points.

Boston’s position in the Eastern Conference playoffs is secure as it would seem highly unlikely that teams like Philadelphia and Toronto, which are 10.5 games behind the Celtics in the conference standings, steal its postseason spot.

The Celtics are not playing all that well right now, though, especially on the road. Boston, a loser in four of its last six games, has lost three straight away from home, falling to Oklahoma City, Charlotte, and New Orleans by an average of 13 points per game.

Doc Rivers’ squad will look to end that mini-skid tonight against a Dallas team still trying to claw its way into the Western Conference playoffs. The Mavericks, at 32-36, are presently 3.5 games behind the eighth place Lakers.

Dallas 6-2 run to open the month of March stirred some hope that it might be able to reel in a banged up Los Angeles team, but this past week has not been kind to Dirk Nowitzki and company.

The Mavs, who are 4-1 in their last five meetings with the Celtics, have lost two of their last three games, and both of those setbacks came at the American Airlines Center (Oklahoma City 107-101, Brooklyn 113-96).

Notable Trends: The Over is 8-2 in the Celtics last 10 games as a road dog with a spread between 4 and 7.5 points.

Boston Celtics vs Dallas Mavericks NBA Odds:

Boston Celtics +4.5 (-110), Over 196.5 (-110), +170 (Moneyline)

Dallas Mavericks -4.5 (-110), Under 196.5 (-110), -200 (Moneyline)
