Big East College Basketball Xavier Musketeers at Georgetown Hoyas Start Time, Betting Odds

The Xavier Musketeers hit the road tonight in Big East College Basketball action when they take on the Georgetown Hoyas. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX Sports 1. Currently the Betting Odds for the game have the Hoyas favored to pick up the win.

Georgetown might have struggled in the early part of the season, but four straight wins in the Big East have helped them crawl into the rankings at No. 21. Tonight the Hoyas will be playing with some in-season revenge against a solid Xavier team that beat up on Georgetown by almost 20 points back in December.

Xavier has been awful on the road this season, losing their last five games away from home. The Musketeers haven't won on the road since the early part of December and tonight will be the first of two straight road games. Since beating Georgetown back on New Year's Eve, Xavier has alternated wins and losses as well, sporting a record of 3-4 during that time. Xavier hasn't lost six straight on the road in almost 30 years. The home team has won each of the last three meetings between these two schools by double digits.

Georgetown comes into tonight's game fresh off an overtime win over Marquette, a game where they scored 95 points. D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera scored 19 points for the Hoyas in that game as Georgetown eclipsed their season average by better than 20 points. Josh Smith had a monster game there with 18 points and 15 rebounds.

Jalen Reynolds scored 17 points off the bench in Xavier's previous win over Georgetown while Dee Davis and Remy Abell both tossed in a dozen. Leading scorer Matt Stainbrook had just eight points in that contest as Georgetown was able to slow him down with their front line.

In this one, the Hoyas will need to shoot better from the perimeter (2-of-13 from downtown previous game). Georgetown has won 10 of 11 games at home this season and they're still sitting atop the conference standings.

Free Pick: Georgetown 66, Xavier 58
