Kansas State and Oklahoma State will clash for the third time this season when they meet tonight at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. This evening’s Big 12 Tournament semifinals showdown between the Cowboys and Wildcats is scheduled to tip off at 10:00pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on ESPNU. The latest College Basketball Odds are favoring Kansas State, which won a share of the Big 12 regular season title, at -2 against the spread. Tonight’s game total is set at 133.5 points.
Oklahoma State avenged its 67-73 January 5th loss at Kansas State over the weekend, beating the Wildcats 76-70 at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater. The Cowboys carried the momentum from that win into last night Big 12 Tournament clash with Baylor; however, it faded over the final 10 minutes. Oklahoma State built a huge first half lead against the Bears as it went into the break with a 42-24 advantage, but Baylor’s late rally (outscored the Pokes 48-32 in the second half) nearly resulted in an extra frame.
The Cowboys, who got 21 points from conference player of the year Marcus Smart, hung on to win the game 74-72.
Kansas State, which had won six games in a row prior to its season finale loss at Oklahoma State, had a much easy time getting past Texas last night. The Wildcats topped the Longhorns 66-49 as they held Rick Barnes’ squad to 34 percent field goal shooting. Conversely, Kansas State drained 42.9 percent from long range as Rodney McGruder, who finished the game with 24 points, knocked down four of his eight three point attempts.
The Wildcats, who have won four of their last six games against Oklahoma State, had won three straight opposite the Cowboys before falling at Gallagher-Iba last weekend.
Big 12 Tournament College Basketball Odds:
Oklahoma State Cowboys +2 (-110), Over 133.5 (-110), +110 (Moneyline)
Kansas State Wildcats -2 (-110), Under 133.5 (-110), -130 (Moneyline)
