Big 12 Football Odds Kansas State vs Oklahoma State

Longtime rivals Kansas State and Oklahoma State will meet on the gridiron this weekend in what has become a critical game for both teams. Kickoff in Saturday's showdown between the Wildcats and Cowboys is set for 3:30pm ET at Boone-Pickens Stadium; the game will be broadcast live on ABC. The latest Big 12 Football Odds from 5Dimes have the hosting Cowboys listed as a -14 against the spread favorite and the Over/Under set at 59 points. Kansas State and Oklahoma State are drawing +425 and -550 money line odds, respectively.

Kansas State's 2013 campaign has been a disappointing one thus far thanks to a season opening loss to FCS school North Dakota State and a setback in its conference opener two weekends ago.

The Wildcats rebounded nicely from their loss to the Bison with double digit wins over Louisiana-Lafayette and Massachusetts, but they were unable to keep that momentum going when they squared off against a reeling Texas Longhorns squad in Austin.

Kansas State lost the game 21-31 after turning the ball over three times and allowing 452 yards to Texas. The Longhorns also had great success on third and fourth downs, converting 11-of-21 opportunities in those key situations.

Oklahoma State comes into this contest in, perhaps, a worst psychological state than its rival after suffering an ugly and unexpected loss at West Virginia on Saturday. The Cowboys were 18 points favorites but fell 21-30 to the Mountaineers as their offense struggled to find its footing.

The Pokes finished with 433 yards, but they were 6-for-20 on third down and averaged just 2.8 yards per carry. Quarterback J.W. Walsh never got in a rhythm throwing the ball, completing 20-of-47 passes for 322 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions, and he was unable to make up for those numbers with his legs.

Walsh is usually a significant threat running the ball, but the Mountaineers limited him to 52 yards on 16 carries for a 3.3 yards per carry average.

Oklahoma State's confidence may be shaken after its performance in Morgantown, but the program has down a nice job bouncing back from losses in recent years. The Cowboys are 13-3 off a loss over the last four seasons and they have also been a tremendous play as a home favorite under Mike Gundy.

Oklahoma State is 13-0 straight up and 11-2 against the spread in its last 13 games laying points at home; however, one of those two ATS losses came to Bill Snyder's Wildcats (11/2011).

Kansas State has covered seven of the last nine games between these two foes and it is 3-1 opposite the number in its last four games as an underdog against the Cowboys.

Big 12 Football Odds Kansas State vs Oklahoma State:

Kansas State Wildcats +14 (-110), Over 59 (-110), +425 (Moneyline)

Oklahoma State Cowboys -14 (-110), Under 59 (-110), -550 (Moneyline)
