The 21st-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers welcome in the Kansas State Wildcats in Big 12 College Basketball action tonight. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPNu. Currently the Betting Odds for the game have the Mountaineers favored by a comfortable margin in this one.

West Virginia comes into tonight's game having gotten beat up in each of their last two games. The Mountaineers struggled against both Oklahoma and Baylor in those contests, getting beat by 19 and 18 points, respectively. How will they respond in this game tonight? West Virginia knocked off Kansas State the first time these two met, in Manhattan, a couple weeks back. 

Tonight Bob Huggins and his group will look for a nice win to get back on track. Kansas State's program is a mess right now and they've won only once in seven road games this season. While West Virginia just lost at home to Baylor the Mountaineers are still tough to beat inside their own gym, especially when they are running wild.

The Mountaineers play a style of defense that causes opposing offenses to turn the basketball over frequently. So far this season West Virginia has forced opponents into 500 turnovers in 23 games, an average of 21 turnovers per game. In the first matchup this season the Wildcats handed the basketball over 25 times, but still found a way to stay in the game.

Juwan Staten needs to have a nice game for the Mountaineers in this one. He was tabbed as the preseason player of the year in the Big 12 and has had a good season, but is averaging just 14.4 points per game, which ranks fifth in the conference. He had just six points against Baylor and never got into a rhythm. 

Since losing to West Virginia in the previous game the Wildcats have dropped three straight as well. Marcus Foster, the team's leading scorer, is still suspended and it doesn't look like he'll play anytime soon. Kansas State has really fallen on some hard times and it won't get any better tonight.

West Virginia needs a solid win and they should take care of business tonight.
