The 11th annual Belk Bowl will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday, December 27th with a start time of 6:30 PM (Eastern). The game will see the Cincinnati Bearcats take on the Duke Blue Devils and will be televised live on ESPN. They became bowl eligible way back on October 20th and then proceeded to lost four straight games thereafter. Duke has no notable wins and lost all their step up games badly in blowout style at Stanford, Florida St and home to Clemson by 36 or more points. Their defense was atrocious down the stretch giving up 42 or more points in their final four games. Head Coach David Cutcliffe was named the 2012 ACC Coach of the Year, and nine Blue Devils earned All-ACC recognition following the regular season. With senior quarterback Sean Renfree headlining the offense, Duke is the only team in the nation to have three receivers with 60-plus receptions this season.
Cincinnati Stat Rankings--- The Bearcats are 44th in total offense, 63rd in passing, 31st in rushing and 48th in scoring (31 ppg), while on defense the Bearcats are 41st overall, 74th vs the pass, 28th vs the run and 12th in points allowed (17.2 ppg).
Duke Stat Rankings--- On offense Duke is 65th overall, 32nd in passing, 107th in rushing and 45th in scoring (31.3 ppg). On defense the Blue Devils are 106th overall, 99th vs the pass, 104tyh vs the run and 105th in points allowed (35 ppg).
