The Oklahoma Sooners are taking on the Auburn Tigers today in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The game is scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college football odds for the game have the Sooners favored to pick up the win in this contest.

Oklahoma and Auburn are a couple of strong programs playing in the final bowl game before the national championship between Clemson and Alabama next Monday. This Sugar Bowl features offense and a couple of solid teams that could score a lot of points in this one tonight.
Auburn was just 8-4 on the season but they enter ranked inside the Top 15 despite losing two of the last three games overall in defeats to Georgia and Alabama. They don’t have a very strong game through the air, quarterback Sean White has just nine TD passes on the year and 1,600 yards.
The run game for Auburn is the bread and butter. Kamryn Pettway and Kerryon Johnson have combined for almost 2,000 yards on the ground and 18 scores. Auburn averages better than 5.5 yards per carry this season and they will no doubt look to keep the ball on the ground tonight.
Oklahoma has Baker Mayfield, he threw for 38 touchdowns and was a Heisman finalist along with teammate Dede Westbrook, who caught 16 of those scores. The Sooners have a bit of a distraction with Joe Mixon’s off the field issues, but head coach Bob Stoops plans for him to play. Samaje Perine also gives the Sooners an excellent option coming out of the backfield, together the two have combined for 25 total touchdowns and should get a lot of attention against Auburn this evening.
The line has been bouncing around here today with this game, but overall Oklahoma has stayed the favorite.
