Virginia -9
Total: 126 points
Florida State got an awkward shot from Terance Mann to go down with less than two seconds remaining Thursday, propelling them to a win over Virginia Tech. Now the Seminoles, who have won five straight and 13 of the last 14 overall, get a crack at top-seeded Virginia.
The Cavaliers dominated the second half of yesterday's win over NC State, out-scoring the Wolfpack 49-27 in the last 20 minutes. For the game, they connected on 10 shots from downtown and hit 52 percent of their shots overall. Virginia has trailed in each of its last three games but won each of those contests.
Virginia won the first meeting between these teams back in January, 65-52. That was the fewest points scored by the Noles all season. Virginia has a way of keeping opposing offenses from reaching their potential, allowing just 54.6 points to opponents this season, which is the best mark in the country. The Cavaliers have been playing well themselves offensively, averaging better than 76 points a game during the past five games.
