With the showdown with Duke looming, the question is whether the North Carolina Tar Heels will overlook Florida State tonight on the road as 2.0 point favorites.  A win tonight would extend North Carolina's winning streak to six overall and 22 of 27 versus Florida State. Tar Heels fans were a little worried early in the season when their squad dropped three of seven to start until they went back to being North Carolina and rolled off 18 victories in their next 21 games.

Despite an impressive 20-8 record, Florida State is historically owned by North Carolina and already were rolled by 20 in their first meeting in Chapel Hill this season. The one thing the Seminoles need to be concerned about is their leading scorer in the blowout loss  Chris Singleton is still missing from the lineup. Freshman Okaro White has been trying to pick up the slack, but their has to be worries that your best player in a game you were blown out in is missing in the rematch

This is a game that makes me think of Pregame Pro, Marco D'Angelo and his infamous "trap-game" theory. North Carolina destroyed Florida State by 20 earlier in the season. The leading scorer from the Seminoles is missing this game. Historically they own Florida State. Outside of the chance to go 8-0 at home in the ACC for the first time in history, revenge and the North Carolina look-ahead to Duke, there is not much on paper on how you don't back the Tarheels in this one. If I had to stretch out the variables, I could maybe say if Florida State's Deividas Dulkys can stay "red-hot" on triples (36% on the season and 11 of last 25), anything can happen. That being said, we are taking a small lean on the Seminoles to play their hearts out and catch North Carolina looking ahead to Duke.
